Course Introduction
This course is tailor made to allow progression for the experienced and enthusiastic nail technician, enabling you to work confidently with all systems.
Using the renowned Creative products you will learn to master application of liquid & powder, gel, fiberglass and silk to a very high standard which will help you to develop into becoming an excellent nail technician. Training is intense and full commitment to home practice is essential.

On successful completion of the course you will be awarded with a qualification that is recognised in industry and will enable you to gain insurance that is necessary in today’s industry.
Entrance Requirements
Recognised manicure & nail technology qualification or salon experience (Please bring a copy of certificate with you on day 1 of the course)

Course Content
  • Health, safety & hygiene
  • Chemical knowledge
  • Nail shapes & conditions
  • Tip & sculpting application for liquid & powder, gel, fibreglass and silk
  • Natural nail overlays
  • Client consultation and treatment planning

  • Maintenance & re-balancing

Duration
Three days - 10.00am-4.00pm (one day for each system)
Plus Assessment sessions – 3 hrs
Cost
Training - £100 per system plus £60 assessment sessions as required

Kit – can be purchased through academy if required

Text book - £22 if required

VTCT Lifetime registration fee (if required) - £16 plus £25 certification
Scheme of Work
Day 1 - Liquid & Powder
  • Input on related theory
  • Outline case study criteria
  • Practical demonstration of tip & sculpting application
  • Student practical performance (a client will be required)
Day 2 - Gel
  • Input on related theory
  • Outline case study criteria
  • Practical demonstration of tip & sculpting application
  • Student practical performance (a client will be required)
Day 3 - Fibreglass/Silk
  • Input on related theory
  • Outline case study criteria
  • Practical demonstration of tip & product application
  • Student practical performance (a client will be required)
A four week gap between day three and assessment sessions will be given to allow for completion of work required and preparation for practical assessments.
Assessment Sessions for BT22 (as and when required) you will need to cover:
  • Written assessment for which you need to achieve 100%
  • Practical assessment - full set with tips & liquid and powder
  • Practical assessment - full set sculpting with liquid & powder
  • Practical assessment - full set with tips & gel
  • Practical assessment – full set sculpting with gel
  • Practical assessment – full set with tips & fiberglass
  • Practical assessment – full set natural nail wraps with silk
You will need to complete these treatments on six different clients of which one is to be a nail biter, treating at least 3 the following nail shapes and conditions – bitten, hook, ski jump, crooked, flat, discoloured or fan.

Assessment sessions for BT23 (as and when required) you will need to cover:
  • Practical assessment – rebalance of liquid & powder with white tips
  • Practical assessment – rebalance of gel with white tips
  • Practical assessment – infill of liquid & powder or gel
  • Practical assessment – infill for fiberglass or silk
  • Practical assessment – removal of a full set of any system
You will need to complete these treatments on five different clients, treating at least two of the following nail conditions – misshapen, bruised or discoloured, severely bitten, severely split. You are also required to polish two of the maintenance treatments using a dark colour and French manicure.

As previously stated this is a flexible course and will be designed to suit the needs of the salon and technician. To tailor your course package please contact the academy to arrange course content and dates that are suitable for you.

Training and assessing in the workplace can be accommodated but traveling expenses will be added to the course fees.
