Course Introduction
To be a level 3 aromatherapist it is essential that you demonstrate competence in dealing with clients, using information for planning basic treatments and providing such treatments safely and effectively.
This qualification will provide you with the skills to communicate with the client and plan and deliver aromatherapy treatments .you will need knowledge of anatomy and physiology, health and safety, consultation techniques and common effects and techniques of aromatherapy to provide complementary therapy treatments.
This qualification is appropriate for learners seeking a career in the complementary therapy industry.
Aromatherapy is undoubtedly one of the most effective ways of relieving stress and tension from the strains of every day life. It can also be used to help with pain relief of minor muscular disorders. Aromatherapy will contribute to maintaining a healthy wellbeing both physiological and psychological. The benefits of aromatherapy are now being recognised and promoted by the medical field.
The aromatherapy routine demonstrated will enable you to be able to perform a full body massage covering the chest, arms, back & front of legs, abdomen , back & shoulders and face & scalp, building on the skills that you have already achieved in body massage and adapting a routine specifically designed for your clients own individual needs.
You will treat clients to a professional standard with exceptional standards of hygiene and health and safety requirements.
On successful completion of the course you will be awarded with a qualification that is recognised in industry and will enable you to gain insurance.

- Related Anatomy & Physiology and Pathology for complementary therapies
- Principles and practices of complementary therapies
- Contra-indications & contra-actions to treatment
- Client consultation and treatment planning
- Aftercare advice
- Health, safety & hygiene for complementary therapies
- Reflective practice for Aromatherapy
- Practical application of aromatherapy techniques for face & scalp, full body and other applications of oils -42 essential oils and 19 carrier oils to be studied
