Course Introduction
Manicures involve particular attention to natural nail care, plus a luxurious hand and arm massage and nail painting techniques, pedicures are designed to pamper tired, aching feet, soften hard skin and to generally make the feet more attractive. This course will allow you offer these two treatments to a highly professional standard. This is an excellent opportunity to begin your beauty therapy career or for hairdressers wishing to expand their services.
On successful completion of the course you will be awarded with a qualification that is recognised in industry and will enable you to gain insurance.

Scheme of Work
Day 1
•   Input on related manicure theory
•   Advise on completion of VR02/VR74 units if required
•   Outline case study criteria
•   Practical demonstration of a manicure treatment, exfoliation and mask
•   Student practical performance on each other

Day 2

•    Input on related pedicure theory
•    Practical demonstration of a pedicure treatment including paraffin wax
•   Student practical performance on each other
A four week gap between day two and day three will be given to allow for completion of case studies, revision and completion of VR02/VR74 task book.

Day 3 - Assessment

•   Exam paper for VR02/VR74 if required
•   Submission of VR02/VR74 task book if required
•   Submission of case studies •   Performance of a practical assessment for a manicure and a pedicure, you will need to provide a client.
