VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Nail Art

Course Introduction
This course is designed to allow for progression of the manicurist or the nail technician, enabling you to work confidently with a variety of techniques. You will master the art of applying rhinestones, foils, striping tape, glitter dust, flatstones, jewellery, transfers, marbling, opalescent blending and hand painting.
On successful completion of the course you will be awarded with a qualification that is recognised in industry and will enable you to gain insurance.

Entrance Requirements
Recognised manicure qualification plus D1120 Level 3 Diploma in Health, Safety, Security and Employment Standards

Scheme of Work Day 1
•   Input on related theory
•   Advise on completion of VR02/VR74 units if required
•   Outline case study criteria
•   Practical demonstration of a range of techniques
•   Student practical performance
Asix week gap between day one and day 2 (assessment day) will be given to allow for completion of work required and preparation for practical assessments.

Assessment Day
Completion of VR02/VR74 exam paper if required
Submission of VR02/VR74
Submission of portfolio

Practical assessment of a full set of nails showing a variety of techniques.  You will need to provide a model.
