Course Introduction
A highly profitable and popular treatment.  You will receive training with the use of warm wax and hot wax techniques, therefore you will be able to adapt your working techniques to suit the client’s needs.  You will be shown hair removal from several areas of the body allowing you to treat clients to a professional standard with exceptional standards of hygiene.
This course is an excellent therapy to continue with your Beauty Therapy career and to add to your other NVQ Level 2 qualifications.  On successful completion of the course you will be awarded with a qualification that is recognised in industry and will enable you to gain insurance.

•   Practical application of hot and warm wax to the eyebrows,
    face, legs, underarms, abdomen and the bikini line

One day – 10.00-4.00 plus Assessment Day – 10.00am-1.00pm

VTCT Lifetime registration fee (if required) - £13 (£14 from August 2007)
Kit – you will need to purchase a wax heater to fulfill case study & home practice.  Academy can advise you.

Scheme of Work

Day 1
Input on related theory
Input on VR02/VR74
Outline case study criteria
Demonstration of all waxing techniques to all specified areas of the body
Student practical performance on each other.

A four week gap between day one and day two will be given to allow for completion of case studies and revision for written assessment.

Day 2
Completion of written assessment paper
Completion of VR02/VR74 independent paper & task book
Hand in case study criteria complete practical assessments – you will need to perform a half leg, bikini, underarm & eyebrow wax under assessment conditions.  You will need to provide a model.
